SPECIAL MEETING

BUDGET HEARING

BOARD OF EDUCATION

MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 2004

6:30 P.M.

            A special meeting of the West Franklin USD #287 Board of Education was held prior to the regularly scheduled meeting to address the budget at the Education Center in Pomona , Kansas . Board members present were:   President Neal Baker, Mrs. Mary Ann Parkin, Mrs. Sheila Anderson, Mrs. Janie Dillon, Mr. Randy Hermreck, and Mrs. Nancy Reed.   Also present were Dr. Susan Myers , Superintendent, and Cherree Keeton , Deputy Board Clerk.

            President Baker called the Budget Hearing to order at 6:30 p.m.  

            Superintendent Myers presented the proposed budget for 2004-2005.   Dr. Myers presented an explanation of several areas of the budget.

            Mrs. Anderson moved the Board adopt the 2004-2005 District Budget for West Franklin U.S.D. #287 as presented.   Mrs. Parkin seconded the motion.   The motion passed 7-0.                                   

            The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
