SPECIAL MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The special meeting of the West Franklin USD #287 Board of Education was held Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at the Education Center in Pomona, Kansas

Board members present were:   Neal Baker, Sheila Anderson, Janie Dillon, Randy Hermreck, Nancy Reed ,  and Keith Milliken.   Administrators present were:   Superintendent Susan Myers, Board Clerk Teresa Hawkins, and Principal Rick Smith

Others present:   Virginia Cook ,  David Staley, Cleon Rickel, and Eric Bushman

Board President, Neal Baker called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

Dr. Susan Myers, superintendent, explained that Shari Perry, Franklin County Clerk, had requested that we submit a resolution directing the Franklin County election officer to submit a question of a capital outlay mill levy at an election called for the purpose on August 1, 2006.   This is the primary election date.   Dr. Myers and an attorney from KASB worked together to compose a resolution for the Franklin County Clerk.

Sheila Anderson made a motion to accept and sign the resolution and to fax it to the Franklin County Clerk.   Nancy Reed seconded the motion.   Motion passed 6-0

There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at 6:05 pm.   Neal Baker made a motion to adjourn the meeting.   Sheila Anderson seconded the motion.   Motion passed 6-0.
