Elective Classes

Spanish I

Prerequisite: None
Grade: 9-12
Status: 1 credit

Course Description: Spanish I will focus on the skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking, and becoming culturally aware.  The focus is to be able to communicate.

Spanish II 

Prerequisite: Spanish I
Grade: 10-12
Status: 1 credit

Course Description: Level II students are distinguished from Level I students by their advanced ability to create and express their own thoughts both in speaking and writing.  They are able to understand short conversations and to read and write simple paragraphs.  They read various materials according to their interest and maturity. 

Spanish III 

Prerequisite: Spanish I and Spanish II
Grade: 11 - 12
Status: 1 credit

Dual Credit Option

Course Description: Level III students are distinguished from Level II students by their ability to participate in full and complex conversations.  They are able to converse with others freely and write extensive paragraphs and short papers. They read with better comprehension. This class also provides a review of Spanish I and Spanish II. 

French I

Prerequisite: None
Grade: 9-12
Status: 1 credit
