Due to changing weather conditions, there is always the possibility that classes may have to be dismissed early.
Often a bad snowstorm can force cancellation for an entire day. If you are not home during the day, please make arrangements for your children in the event this happens.
If school is cancelled or closed, you will be notified by SchoolReach. This is an automated parent notification system, which works like this:
1. School officials decide to dismiss early or cancel school for the day.
2. A message about the situation is recorded on SchoolReach.
3. SchoolReach dials every phone number supplied by parents/guardians for this purpose. If you answer, you will hear the recorded message, if you dont answer, the message should go to your voicemail.
We ask that you listen carefully when you see the districts's phone number pop up in your phone identification, or check your voicemail before calling the number back that you see.
School patrons will also be notified of weather closings over the radio and television during the 10 pm and/or 6:30 am newscast.
