The Falcons hosted the Flint Hills League Championships on Thursday.  The strong winds were a new challenge for the meet, but the runners were ready to go nonetheless.  They competed and brought home 12 individual league medals, one team championship, and two runner-up team finishes.

The middle school girls race was the most competitive race of the meet.  The defending champion Lady Falcons went head to head with Central Heights, with 9 of the top 10 places belonging to one of those two teams.  Bailey Cameron was able to repeat as the individual league champion, with Baylie Wieneke close behind with a personal best and a third place finish.  Elyse Mille and Grace Nellessen claimed 8th and 9th place medals, while Skyla Martin and Ali Voth ran season best times.  These great performances were enough for second place, a mere four points from first.

The middle school boys had their own battle.  The young team ran hard, with four of the seven athletes running personal bests.  The team came away with third place, improving on last year’s fourth place finish.

7th/8th Grade Boys (3rd): Bowen Hamm (12th), Kale Patterson (14th), Auston Spencer (15th), Henry Evans (17th), Kiel Flanary (23rd), Ryker Williams (21st), Tristin Moulthrop (24th)

The results are below.  *Middle school medaled the top 10 runners.

7th/8th Grade Girls (2nd): Bailey Cameron (1st*), Baylie Wieneke (3rd*), Elyse Mille (8th*), Grace Nellessen (9th*), Skyla Martin (23rd), Ali Voth (26th)
